The TravelCoin Foundation (TCF), the charitable organization that works to use digital currency and Blockchain technology to improve the travel industry and its impact on communities worldwide, was a sponsor at the Third-Annual DC Blockchain Summit 2018 in Washington DC, March 7-8, 2018.
“The TravelCoin Foundation has made incredible progress over the past seven months since its launch. However, we have a long way to go in order to reach the massive impact we know we will create,” says Kate Guimbellot, Executive Director at TravelCoin Foundation. “Our hope in supporting the DC Blockchain Summit and the Chamber of Digital Commerce was to help push efforts in enhancing blockchain technology while raising the awareness of the TravelCoin Foundation and its mission.”
The TravelCoin Foundation was created with the purpose to design and develop a new generation of tools for travelers while revolutionizing the travel industry, all by harnessing the power of the blockchain.
The Chamber of Digital Commerce and Georgetown University’s Center for Financial Markets and Policy brought together more than 600 participants from 20+ countries – including global blockchain advocates and thought leaders throughout government, financial services and technology – to work toward advancing the adoption of blockchain technology.
